Hi!! Thanks for joining us. Let me take a few minutes to introduce ourselves. I'm Dale Peterson and am a retiree of Ford Motor Company. I was fortunate to retire at the ripe young age of 50. This first attempt at retirement didn't last long. 3 days to be precise. I then worked just shy of 3 more years for an automotive supplier before taking another shot at retirement. The second attempt started January of 2010 and has stuck thus far. My wife, Lisa Peterson, has held various part time jobs through the years after we started having children. However, we both felt that family was our priority and being an 'always available' mom was significantly more important than bringing home an additional paycheck. We've raised two beautiful daughters. Our oldest, Kristy, has been married since January of 2011 to Matthew. They live in East Lansing, MI. Our youngest, Kelly, is currently living in Australia and is working as a mechanical engineer. Lisa was also an 'always available' caregiver to multiple family members over the years. Whenever someone needed a place to mend, our home was reconfigured as necessary to accommodate them. However, it is with regret that we must announce that the rehabilitation inn is now closed. It has been replaced by a rolling vacation inn!
Back in 1998 we bought our first motorhome, a 32 foot Itasca Sunrise. Over the course of 5 years worth of summer vacations the 4 of us were able to travel through the 48 contiguous states and 5 of the Canadian provinces. We toured many national and several state parks. Our daughters both have a passion for animals so we would always 'hunt' for them and 'shoot' many pictures! Photography is Lisa's passion so needless to say we have many photos to document our travels! We both loved this lifestyle and it was then Our Dream began. We vowed that when we retired and the girls were grown and on their own, we would buy another motorhome and travel full-time.
And so it begins.....
Hi Dale and Lisa! We can't wait to hear all about your wonderful adventures! Love you both!
